Calendar Updated for September
Wednesday,

 The
calendar has been updated for September
listings in the States. Next Wednesday,
September 4, The Sci-Fi Channel is showing
Clancy's episode of Tales from the Crypt
at 8 PM and again at 11 PM. There is also
another Earth 2 marathon on Sci-Fi
on the 19th running for 5 hours. If you
missed the first marathon, you missed some
hilarious pop-ups that appeared on screen
commenting on the action. Screen capture

The
Sci-Fi Channel's online "Seeing Ear Theatre"
is currently featuring a dramatic original
audio-play, Titanic Dreams, featuring
Clancy as one of the main characters. You
need RealPlayer in order to hear the drama,
which runs about 45 minutes, and is definatly
worth a listen. More details are can be found

Dreams

In the still night air on April 14, 1912,
an iceberg pierces the hull of the Titanic.
A young American woman and an aging English
bachelor connect briefly on the deck of
the doomed vessel. She is unwillingly placed
in a lifeboat, and he returns to the smoking
lounge to await the inevitable.
Decades later, they connect again; he has
dissolved into the water that claimed his
life, while she has passed through time
onboard the lifeboat.
Gigi Edgley and Clancy Brown star as the
ill-fated couple who embrace life from the
depths of death. Clancy Brown is well known
to science fiction fans as "The Kurgan"
in the original Highlander movie. He also
starred in Starship Troopers and television's
Earth 2. Gigi Edgley has been turning heads
as the sprightly vixen Chiana on SCI FI
Channels' hit show FARSCAPE. Robert Olen
Butler won the Pulitzer Prize in 1993 for
"A Good Scent From A Strange Mountain".
In addition to two volumes of short fiction
an numerous novels, his stories have appeared
in The New Yorker, Esquire, The Paris Review,
and The Sewanee Review. He revisits science
fiction in his latest novel "Mr. Spaceman".
New
Project

Clancy is currently in Vancouver filming
an adaptation of the classic story, Snow
White, which will air on ABC as a
television movie. The project is being
produced by Robert Halmi, who brought
us the recent ABC mini-series "Arabian
Nights", as well as "The 10th Kingdom",
"Cleopatra", "Alice in Wonderland" and
many others. Clancy's character is a wizard
-- the brother to Snow White's "wicked
stepmother" (played by Miranda Richardson)
-- whose plotting and magical spells set
many of the story's events in motion.
Like most of Halmi's productions, the
makeup and costuming of "Snow White"
will most likely be fantastical. The production
will probably also have its fair share
of special effects, so it may be some
time before this movie airs. But when
it does, it will hopefully receive a great
deal of network attention and promoted
as one of those special movie events.

The
Clancy on TV Calendar
has been updated for the month of August.
The Sci-Fi Channel is running an Earth
2 mini-marathon tomorrow, complete
with pop-ups (a la Pop Up Video) during
the episodes. Should be fun! There will
be another marathon some time in September
if you miss this one. Also, the site will
not be updated for a few weeks while I
(Kim) am off on a trip. Like before, if
you are interested in receiving the latest
news, please subscribe to one of the mailing
lists. Thanks!
New
Site Layout

As
promised, here is a new site design. I
hope you like it! I've also added a few
new things to the Gallery.
The convention in LA was wonderful, but
it was seeing the Earth 2 filming
locations in New Mexico that really blew
me away. I am currently working on a photo
page to go with a report of all that happened
at the convention and NM pre-con trip.
